How To Recycle PCB Circuit Board?
Most electronic products contain circuit boards, so waste PCB circuit board(PCBs) can be found everywhere. PCBs contain more than a dozen metals with high recycling value, such as copper, iron, gold, silver, palladium, etc., and the metal content is as high as 40%, so recycling PCBs is definitely profitable.
The traditional heat treatment method mainly uses high temperature to separate organic matter and metals, mainly incineration, vacuum cracking, microwave, etc. This heat treatment method will cause some resources to be lost and cause pollution.
It is recommended to use physical methods, that is, to use circuit board recycling equipment to recycle PCB circuit board, and to use mechanical crushing and physical separation techniques to obtain metals and resin fibers from waste circuit boards. The purity of the recovered metals can reach more than 99%.
Step 1: Electronic component dismantling
The first step in PCB circuit board recycling is to use a electronic components dismantling machine to separate electronic components from the circuit board to obtain a bare circuit motherboard, and then further process the circuit motherboard to obtain copper powder, resin powder, etc.
Step 2: PCB circuit board crushing
The second step is to use a circuit board crusher to crush the circuit board. Under the shearing and crushing of the two rotors of the pulverizer, the circuit board is broken into irregular fragments, and the crushed electronic board particles are about 60mm x 60mm. Next, the granulator is used to process the crushed circuit board fragments to generate smaller particles with a diameter of 20mm. The crushed materials are then collected in a mesh box for further processing.
Step 3: Separation of metal and non-metal powders
Finally, an electrostatic separator is used to separate metal and non-metal particles. Electrostatic separation uses the difference in electrical properties between metals and non-metals in a high-voltage electric field to achieve the purpose of sorting.
When the crushed particles are brought to the high-voltage electric field of the corona electrode by the rotating drum, due to the different electrical properties of various materials and the different stress states, the metal and non-metal fall on different trajectories, thereby separating the metal and non-metal mixture, and the separation rate can reach more than 99%.
